Flame and water resistant elksplit glove, KevlarŪ sewn, Fully lined, complete with TEMPERBLOC palm. The key is a hi-tech new fabric called Temperbloc. It is a 100% KevlarŪ knit fabric coated in a heavyweight, yet flexible Silicone. Waterproof so it has no water absorption, thus less hand fatigue and faster drying time. 100% KevlarŪ base fabric means exceptional slash and puncture resistance. Leather starts to char at 475°F, Silicone can handle 650°F with no damage. The KevlarŪ base fabric can handle higher temperatures. A great glove for fire fighters.
