Chemical Resistant » Chemical Resistant Neoprene Gloves

Neoprene is the DuPont trade name for chloroprene, the first commercial synthetic rubber created. Neoprene has good abrasion and cut resistance, while resisting the effects of aging, sunlight, ozone, oxidation and weather. Also flame resistant, it demonstrates heat stability up to 93C (200F).

Common glove myth
ImageLeather is good for abrasion resistance, which is why it is used in bikers jackets. However, it is so low in cut resistance that even a lightweight string-knit cotton glove is more cut resistant than the average leather glove.
