Leather

Leather is the traditional material of choice for many when it comes to gloves, and has a long and glorious history. As a glove material, it offers a level of abrasion protection that is hard to beat, but unfortunately is not effective against cut. For this reason, we continue to offer a fine selection of leather styles, some with cut-resistant linings, because they are still the favourite choice for industrial and construction applications and other heavy-duty jobs.

For a complete selection of cut-resistant styles, please visit our Cut Resistant Gloves section. Scientific advancements in the development of cut-resistant fibers have opened up infinite possibilities, providing a reliable alternative to leather with few or no limitations in supply - or worse yet - major fluctuations in price.

Glove tip
ImageIt's a good idea to keep both latex gloves and heavy-duty work gloves in a Emergency Preparedness Kit. The latex gloves protect against pathogens when assisting with injuries to people you may not know. The work gloves can be used to protect your hands from broken glass, barbed wire, etc.
