S13FGPU - Superior Touch™ Fibreglass/Nylon Knit made with Dyneema® and Polyurethane Palm-coated

Superior combines three really tough materials to create one amazingly cut-resistant glove that also happens to be incredibly comfortable. When high-tech fibres are added to composite yarns, the results are impressive. Fibreglass on its own is brittle, and while it scores well in some aspects of cut-resistance, does not in itself stand up well to direct cut. However, when combined with Dyneema®, brittleness is no longer an issue, as the fibreglass is now strengthened and supported by the surrounding material. Nylon added to this composite enhances toughness and wear, while the ergonomically curved hand and finger shape of the seamless knit shell provides all-day comfort. Palms are coated with tough polyurethane for grip and added durability in wet/dry or oily conditions.

Dyneema® is a registered trademark of Royal DSM N.V.

Common glove myth
ImageLeather is good for abrasion resistance, which is why it is used in bikers jackets. However, it is so low in cut resistance that even a lightweight string-knit cotton glove is more cut resistant than the average leather glove.
