Kevlar®/Stainless-steel Composite-knit Metal-stamper’s Glove

Our Emerald CX Kevlar® composite-knit metal-stamper’s gloves are specifically engineered to protect against the extreme hazards faced by those workers. Unlike our regular steel-core/Kevlar® version, both models score exceptionally high in both cut and abrasion categories. The yarn construction imparts a ‘rolling’ quality, meaning sharp edges tend to slide off the surface, dissipating cut. Better abrasion resistance also aids cut resistance over the life of the glove, for a more consistent performance.

The SKWCPT is a composite-knit blend of Kevlar®, stainless- steel wire core and polyester that has an ASTM cut-level 4 rating and over twice the abrasion resistance of our SKWCP35.

The SKSTFP version has an ASTM cut-level 5 rating. That’s 5100 grams of cut resistance in a comfortable 7-gauge string-knit glove. Featuring our Emerald CX blend of Kevlar®, steel, fiberglass and polyester, they also endured 1700 wear cycles in the Taber test for abrasion. Weighing in at a hefty 122 grams, they are our heaviest-duty metal stamper glove, and feature a reinforced thumb crotch for increased wear and cut resistance in what is the most vulnerable area of any glove. These gloves outlast other comparable gloves with twice the lifespan as reported by one large metal-parts stamper, and a significantly lower scrap rate for maximized cost savings.

Common glove myth
ImageLeather is good for abrasion resistance, which is why it is used in bikers jackets. However, it is so low in cut resistance that even a lightweight string-knit cotton glove is more cut resistant than the average leather glove.
