Snowforce Winter Gloves

Just in time for winter, Superior introduces the SnowForce glove, where high style meets high tech. We’ve created a glove that is breathable, waterproof and windproof, yet offers great dexterity too, by taking advantage of several high-functioning fabrics developed with harsh winter conditions in mind. These are gloves that you’ll love to wear, hard-working but with superb styling, on the job or off. Featuring genuine Clarino® palms for super flexibility and long wear, anti-slip PVC patches in critical palm and fingertip areas for excellent grip even in wet conditions; gauntlet cuffs that adjust for a custom fit using velcro tabs, and elastic at the wrists to ensure a snug fit and lock out the cold. Finger tips have a unique wrap around design to eliminate seams, allowing for excellent fingertip sensitivity, considering that these are winter work gloves. Inverted pleats at the back of the finger joints enhance comfort and dexterity, and shape the glove to the hand. Three layers of insulation - including 100 gram/square meter weight of warm yet surprisingly thin HeatLok insulation - provide maximum warmth with minimum bulk. Also featuring Porelle Ski-Dri²™ waterproof, breathable insert, that locks out water and wind while moisture from sweaty hands is not locked in. Kevlar® and stainless-steel covered, foam-padded knuckle strap for protection against hard knocks, scrapes and abrasion. Glove back, sidewall and forchettes are stretchy nylon/ lycra for a combination of toughness and flexibility, while the Snowforce logo on the cuff and index finger let’s you know you’ve got the genuine article.

Do more layers equal more protection?
Construction in the palm area of leather gloves leads to some misconceptions. When sizing up gloves in a catalog, it is tempting to believe – based on appearance alone – that a patch palm is going to double your protection. To the uninitiated, palm patches would seem to offer greater protection, as the double palm looks like it would give twice the protection in that area.
The reality with most patch-palm leather glove styles is that the patch exists as a kind of bridge between two pieces of leather to create a full palm. This enables the glove manufacturer to maximize use of the full hide by using up all the smaller leftover pieces.
