'StayzUp' Kevlar® Sleeve, w/ Nylon Mesh inner layer

Stayz-Up Sleeves are great for protecting the wrist and forearms from cuts and burns. The stretchy knit conforms comfortably to the arm. The Kevlar® exterior won't burn and protects from momentary contact with objects as hot as 800°F degrees and is also cut and slash resistant.
Stayz-Up Sleeves have an inner layer of Nylon ballistic mesh. This adds an extra layer of cut protection and the rigidity needed to keep the sleeve from sliding down the wrist. The plated version of the Stayz-Up Kevlar Sleeves have an outer layer 100% Kevlar®, and a middle layer of ballistic Nylon mesh and inside layer of cotton. Beside making the sleeves more economical, this also puts comfortable cotton against the skin.

Do more layers equal more protection?
Construction in the palm area of leather gloves leads to some misconceptions. When sizing up gloves in a catalog, it is tempting to believe – based on appearance alone – that a patch palm is going to double your protection. To the uninitiated, palm patches would seem to offer greater protection, as the double palm looks like it would give twice the protection in that area.
The reality with most patch-palm leather glove styles is that the patch exists as a kind of bridge between two pieces of leather to create a full palm. This enables the glove manufacturer to maximize use of the full hide by using up all the smaller leftover pieces.
