No thanks, I don't want to prevent hand injuries.
Superior Glove is very excited to announce our business partnership with world-renowned impact protection and shock absorption specialists, D3O®.
If you tuned in for our webinar about Construction Safety a few weeks back, you might recall that we had a special guest co-host it with us: Dan Branson, Business Development Manager for North America PPE Industrial Workwear at D3O®. Branson brings over 15 years of experience in the impact protection and glove development fields, and is an invaluable resource. For this reason, we were very grateful when he agreed to discuss injury prevention and common safety mistakes in the construction industry with us, as well as the benefits of wearing proper anti-impact PPE on the job site.
For those who don’t know, D3O® — the material that the company Branson works for is named after — is known for the unparalleled level of protection that it provides against severe impact hazards. Recognizable by its bright orange colour, D3O® is unlike any other material in the impact protection field since in its natural form, it’s a free-flowing liquid that is soft and flexible — almost like a viscous putty. However, upon impact, the molecules in the liquid rapidly bind together to form a solid block which absorbs the energy from the impact and moves it away from the exposed area in order to prevent bruising and injury. Because of its impressive anti-impact properties, D3O® has been used in the creation of a wide variety of products — in everything from military helmets to Usain Bolt’s insoles.
