People who wear disposable gloves probably think more about protection against outside hazards, such as cuts and abrasions, and not so much about protection against the gloves. But when disposable gloves are worn for long periods of time, they can become a hazard or make hands more vulnerable to injury after the glove has been removed.
These single use gloves are beneficial when it comes to protecting the skin against chemicals, contamination or infection, in the medical profession as well as food handling, disposable gloves keep everyone safer because they minimize the spread of germs and bacteria.
But what goes on inside the gloves is a different story. By nature, most disposable gloves form a water and air-tight barrier around the hands. Hands naturally sweat, and the gloves trap moisture inside.
