Hand injuries cost over $2,000 on average. If reading our newsletter helps you prevent even one injury, isn't that worth it?

No thanks, I don't want to prevent hand injuries.
This year’s National Safety Council (NSC) Conference and Expo is slated to be the biggest and best ever.
Taking place in Indianapolis, the theme this year is “Racing to Zero – Safety that Works.”
The expo is set to kick off September 25th with a lot of cool stuff to see and do.
With that in mind, we put together the top 5 things we’re looking forward. You can use this list to organize your week to make sure you get the most out of your time in the “Crossroads of America.”
It doesn’t matter what kind of conference you’re attending — academic, safety or cheese making — the job of the keynote speaker is to set the tone for the day. They bring the energy, they give new perspective and they motivate.
The National Safety Council kicked it up a notch this year with a diverse yet well-rounded group of speakers. The two that we’re most excited to see are:
Deborah Hersman, president and CEO of NSC, is joined by NASCAR driver Kyle Petty to talk shop on safety and it’s sure to be a great pairing.
Petty made a career of putting himself in dangerous situations. He competed in over 20 Daytona 500s where race cars are driven at speeds of up to 177 mph (285 km/h).
Expect to hear lots of tips and actionable steps for thinking ahead and anticipating risk.
When it’s happening: Monday, September 25, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
But there are still common practices in companies that cause alarm and that’s what Corrie Pitzer, CEO of SAFEmap International will be talking about.
Companies that are considered “best in class” are suffering catastrophic events.
Pitzer’s talk focuses in on the “well intended, but dangerous ideas, beliefs and delusions.”
When it’s happening: Wednesday September 27, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Whether you’re looking to start a career, change positions or just meet safety thought leaders, NSC has set up a terrific opportunity for networking as part of the Congress & Expo.
The NSC Career Center will have workstations, career counselling and a professional resume service to give technical pointers.
Along with support, you will also have the change to meet face-to-face with exhibiting companies from around the world.
NSC is a great opportunity for getting a sneak peek at the latest and greatest products that are being released this year.
These safety products, from safety glasses to lockout/tagout devices, are competing to be named NSC’s “2017 Best in Show.”
The best part? You get to decide which product should win that title!
If you’re not sure which product to vote for, can we suggest our Clutch Gear® Hi-Viz Anti-Impact Mechanics Glove Product ID: MXGKGHVB

You know the feeling. You go to a trade show because you want to LEARN about the industry and see what’s NEW in it.
Next thing you know you’re talking to some pushy sales guy who doesn’t care about your needs. He just wants to scan your badge.
It’s not fun, it’s not educational and it’s not helping you be more effective at your job.
Superior Glove is changing that!
We’re redefining trade shows with our presentation “The Top 5 Facts You NEED to Know to be Safer at Work.”
This presentation is fun, educational and informative. It will give you actionable steps to improve your workplace and keep everyone safe.
You don’t want to be the only one at NSC without superior knowledge (or superior swag!) so make Booth 1601 your first stop!
