Mr. Geng,

A great handout. I have been selected to present a program called “Get A Grip… And Stop Hand Injuries” at the 2013 NSC Texas Safety Conference Expo, to be held April 7-9, 2013 in Galveston, TX. One of the areas of my presentation will be on “Learn glove selection criteria and review the latest glove design improvements” glove selection and the latest trends or innovations within the industry.

The info graphic is pretty helpful in explaining the differences between ANSI/ISEA-105-2016 and EN388. And it is much appreciated that you guys put it together. However, the EN388 portion of the graphic is missing a key component; what do the four numbers below the EN388 “hammer & anvil” icon represent? E.g. a EN388 glove marked “4534” beneath the icon represents an Abrasion Resistance 4 out of 4, Cut Resistance 5 out of 5, Tear Resistance 4 out of 4 and Puncture Resistance 3 out of 4. That is critical to understand when selecting the appropriate glove since gloves are available in the US and Canada tested under either one of the Standards it is important to include in your next revision of the infographic.
