No thanks, I don't want to prevent hand injuries.
Last week, Michael Johannesson, our territory manager for Alberta and Northern British Columbia, won Finning Canada‘s 2016 Excellence in Safety award.
“Michael Johannesson of Superior Glove, left, with Felipe Fuentes of Finning International, right.”
Michael described the Excellence in Safety award as “working in partnership with Finning to bring awareness and education to develop a new culture of hand safety.”
Finning, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, is the world’s largest distributor of Caterpillar machinery. The award was presented by Felipe Fuentes, Finning’s Global Vice-President for Environment, Health and Safety.
“It feels awesome to be recognized by such a prominent business in Canada,” Michael said. “Everyone at Superior should feel proud of this award. It was presented in a way as to describe how we have and continue to assist in reduction of hand injuries.”
Michael, who advocates against the process of ‘rogue glove buying,’ has been helping to reduce hand injuries as a member of Superior Glove for over 10 years through the Advocate Partnership.
This partnership looks at ways to maximize outcomes in a company’s hand-protection program.
