Hand injuries cost over $2,000 on average. If reading our newsletter helps you prevent even one injury, isn't that worth it?

No thanks, I don't want to prevent hand injuries.
It’s no secret that Superior Glove is passionate about science and innovation. Because of this, when we first heard about the Scientists in School program, we knew it was something that we wanted to be a part of.
Scientists in School is a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to get elementary school students interested in learning about STEM programs (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). They give students from grades 1 to 8 the opportunity to participate in four hour-long, hands-on scientific labs in their classrooms. Since teachers get to choose from a variety of different topics, they have the chance to select one that they feel would be most applicable and/or fascinating to their students.
Thanks to our sponsorship of this program, every student who attends the four elementary schools in Acton (St. Joseph, Robert Little, Limestone and Mackenzie Smith) as well as two schools in Newfoundland (Point Leamington Academy, and Memorial Academy in Botwood) will have the chance to participate in one of these special workshops this year.
Here’s what Cindy Adams, Executive Director of Scientists in School, had to say about our participation:
“Our vision at Scientists in School is that every Canadian child deserves to appreciate the world around them scientifically. Scientists in School has come a long way in our 26 year history. While we know that we make a meaningful difference in the lives of over 600,000 curious young scientists, we understand that we can achieve so much more working with, and through others. The support you have offered is exemplary, and will be a strong force for greater impact for our youth science and engineering mission. On the horizon I see loads of excited young scientists in Acton and Point Leamington. And I imagine where these sparks for science will take them.”
Scientists in School is dedicated to establish a strong foundation of science and innovation among Canadian youth. Their success depends on the involvement of people like you who share their passion for science literacy.
