No thanks, I don't want to prevent hand injuries.
If you’ve been keeping up with recent safety apparel and PPE trends, you’ve probably noticed the recent insurgence of high-visibility personal protective equipment on the market.
While neon safety vests have been a trend across various industries for awhile now, it’s no surprise that, because of the many benefits they offer, high-visibility work gloves and sleeves are also starting to become more and more commonplace in the workplace.
The main advantage to wearing high-visibility work gloves is that they improve worker visibility on the job.
This is beneficial for two major reasons:
Hi-viz PPE styles feature fluorescent colors like yellow, green, or even orange.
The umbrella of high visibility work gloves and sleeves include both products that are 100% hi-viz (from the fingertips to the wrists), as well as ones without a hi-viz shell but are crafted with a high-visibility element.
There’s a wide variety of hi-viz work gloves and sleeves on the market. Our STAGYPNVB gloves are cut resistant, with an anti-impact backing they’re ideal for the oil and gas industry.
Fluorescent material is ideal for day-time hi-viz wearers. Through the special pigments the material is reflected back as a more visible light. The material only functions where there is a source of natural sunlight. However, in days of cloud cover, or fog the coloring will be only slightly brighter than normal.
Retro-reflective is created to return light in the direction that it is coming from. This will allow anyone on the work site to see someone in their PPE. Retroreflective materials are most effective in under low-light conditions.
While visibility is overlooked during PPE selection, it is a very important factor to consider. The more visible workers are in the workplace, the better. Introducing hi-viz PPE is easier than ever before, so what are you waiting for? Get your sample now!
