Clutch Gear® Mechanic Gloves | Redesigned to be Tough as Hell

In 2016, we completely revamped our Clutch Gear® mechanics glove series. We wanted to create a line of gloves that were not only top quality but also good looking.

These gloves are tough as hell.

To prove it, we tested them under the toughest conditions.

We teamed up with specialty geotechnical construction firm Geo-Foundations (who has since renamed to Keller Foundations) to see if the gloves could hold up to the tough work they do.

What Makes Clutch Gear® Tough as Hell?

It’s the goatskin leather palms, plain and simple.

Goatskin is called nature’s strongest leather but it’s also thin enough to give you a barehand feel.

When we looked at what our competitors were doing, almost all of them had synthetic leather palms. While synthetic leather is good, it doesn’t last nearly as long as real leather. Over time, leather will also conform to the shape of your hand.

Why Keller Foundations?

Keller Foundations is working to create the foundation for the new light rail transit (LRT) line through Eglington.

Keller Foundations works long hours, in all types of weather and do a variety of jobs, including excavation and micropiles.

It’s the company’s emphasis on safety that made us really keen to work with them.

When we arrived on site with a few dozen gloves, the men and women of Keller Foundations couldn’t wait to try them on.

Having a chance to work with a company that is so safety focused only made sense.
