What’s Cookin’, Good Lookin’?

Industry Spotlight: Food Processing

With the best holiday of the fall season just around the corner, we thought we’d kick off our new Industry Spotlight posts with a delicious bang: we’re going to introduce you to some of our top-rated and best-selling gloves that are extremely popular PPE choices amongst those in the Food Processing industry for a reason!

Here are our top recommendations for added hand protection in the food industry.

SNTAPVC: Dexterity® PVC-Coated Nylon Gloves

Designed with a special palm coating that’s made to stay flexible even while worn in cold temperatures, these gloves are not only durable, but offer a fantastic grip as well – even when wet. (Maybe use them to lift that huge, 20 lb turkey out of the freezer this Thanksgiving!).

S10SXB: Sure Knit™ Cut-Resistant Food Industry Glove

Specially designed for the food industry and beloved by Whole Foods, these FDA approved, antimicrobial gloves are great for use during food preparation. They’re treated with Size-Lock™ so that they won’t shrink while being washed. They are also abrasion-resistant, and are made with a special composite yarn for great protection against the hazards of working with meat or fish. Their ANSI cut level A7 rating makes them an excellent choice for tasks involving the repeated use of sharp knives. Our Sales Team also wanted me to note that these gloves have been the recipient of a lot of positive feedback, since although they offer the maximum level of cut protection, unlike other gloves of a similar nature, they’re still very dexterous and flexible!

V3016RT: Two-Tone Unsupported Vinyl Canner Gloves

These gloves are amazing for handling poultry and other types of meat. Because they’re made of vinyl, these gloves will prevent your hands from coming into contact with oils and animal fat during food prep. They’re anti-microbial, anti-mildew, and even latex and phenol free, which means that they’ll prevent the spreading of bacteria, and contamination. To reduce fatigue, these gloves also feature 16 mil worth of added protection in the fingertips! These are a fantastic pair to use while garnishing and dressing your turkey before it goes into the oven.

NE240TKL: Chemstop™ Terry-lined Heavy-duty Neoprene Chemical Resistant Gloves

These extremely comfortable, flexible, and heat-resistant gloves come in a variety of different sizes, and are able to withstand up to a whopping 500°F! The diamond-grip finish on the palms also enhances the level of wet and dry grip they provide, and this pair of gloves also features Level 3 ASTM ANSI Puncture Resistance.

GU500: Universal Five-Finger Chain Mail Glove

While these are admittedly not the best fitting gloves we offer, because they’re constructed with individual rings, these gloves offer the highest level of protection from rotating blades, slicer blades, and knives being used with force.

And, don’t forget the icing on the cake…

TBG-6: Cool Grip® Cotton-Fleece Lined Bakers Gloves

When it comes to working with ovens, customers are always so grateful that we not only offer mitts that are specially made for baking, but gloves as well! These gloves are made from long-lasting, washable, heavy duty terry cloth, and are fully lined with 11oz. knit cotton. Not only are they preshrunk so that they don’t lose their shape in the washing machine, but they’re also speckled brown in color to hide dirt and reduce premature disposal. And, ASTM Heat Level 4 protection means that when you wear these gloves, you’re well protected against heat threats of all kinds.
