An Illustrated Guide to the New ANSI Cut Levels

In 2016, ISEA announced its new ANSI/ISEA 105-2016 Hand Protection Classification to increase the accuracy of cut test results among glove manufacturers. Europe quickly followed suit with changes to the European Standard for Protection Gloves, EN 388. As a result, there are now many more cut protection classifications, which can be overwhelming.

To help you understand cut protection levels for the ANSI and EN 388 standards, and to help you determing their corresponding work applications, we’ve created the illustrated guide below.
