Superior Glove Wins Halton Hills’ 2017 Environmental Excellence Award
Acton, ON, Canada — September 14, 2017 — Superior Glove announced today that it was named a winner of the Environmental Excellence Award as part of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards.
Environmental conservation is an important part of Superior Glove’s business ethos and an integral part of the framework that makes up the company’s social responsibility platform.
This yearly award recognizes businesses within the Halton Hills region that “nurture the ethics of social responsibility.”
The award, sponsored by Cogeco Connexions, recognizes business leaders that place an emphasis on “environmetal preservation through their conservation efforts.” With particular focus in the following areas:
- Green procurement
- Protection of natural heritage
When asked about the award, Superior Glove President Tony Geng said “the competition in Halton Hills is tough, so it means a great deal to be recognized by our community for our environmental contributions.”
Local businesses recognized at the gala included Intlvac Inc., Large Business of the Year; Soac Media, New Business Award; and Generations Physiotherapy Centre, Community Excellence Award.
